What is a Prosthodontist?
Prosthodontists are dental specialists in the restoration and replacement of teeth. After completing four years of dental school, prosthodontists receive three additional years of specialized training in restorative dentistry, crowns, bridges, dental implants and dentures in an American Dental Association (ADA) accredited graduate education program.
Prosthodontics is the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes. (Adopted April 2003) Prosthodontics is one of only nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association.
Our office coordinates your treatment with other dental specialists when their services are required. This team management optimizes your treatment resulting in optimal care in both function and aesthetics.
Areas of Practice
Aesthetics
The restoration and enhancement of the natural beauty of a smile using state-of-the-art procedures. Resulting in a beautiful, confidence-instilling and long-lasting smile that everyone deserves. We can evaluate and correct discolored, cracked, or missing teeth and make truly noticeable improvements to natural, oral aesthetics.
Crowns
We replace existing crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth. Where damage to a person's teeth is extensive, porcelain crowns can make the smile appear like new again.
Dental Implants
A method to replace a missing tooth or teeth by fabricating a bridge. The bridge is made between the space created by the missing tooth by way of a prepared crown. Then a new artificial tooth is joined to the crowns, and the entire bridge is affixed to the prepared teeth.
Bridges
We replace existing crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth. Where damage to a person's teeth is extensive, porcelain crowns can make the smile appear like new again.
Veneers
Dental veneers are wafer-thin shells of porcelain permanently bonded to teeth that are discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned. They are nonporous, incredibly strong and will not stain.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
A dental treatment procedure that address and corrects misaligned jaws and worn, missing, broken or crooked teeth. The artistry of cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation creates healthy, functional and beautiful natural smiles.
